Very Groovy

I like it. It's got a tripped out kind of feeling. Very mellow and calm. The reversed vocals are splendid. I love how you placed them in the mix. The like how the arrangement gets more complex and gains momentum as the song goes along too, very interesting. I dig this a lot.

Krupinkin responds:

Thank you bro! I really appriciate that you have spent time to listen to it carefully and write a review, my respect!

Wow man

With no offense, but this is pretty awful. I mean, yeah, that guitar sounds pretty alright if you can wade through the truly horrendous mix and sound quality. The drums are a disaster or noise and the bass is pretty lazy and sloppy. The lead is crunchy and interesting, but it's just mindless riffing. It's a start, but man you need a lot of work.

DeathMetalGod responds:

Thanx for the review! I totally appreciate it. I intend on improving.

Shows Promise

This is not bad at all. Here are the only problems I have with it: No vocals, it's short, and the mix isn't very good. The drums also were kind of strange sounding to me, but blah, you know? But really, the mix is the biggest problem. You can barely hear the riffing because the drums are too loud, and I thought I heard a solo in there, but it was so buried in the mix I couldn't tell. With proper production, this could be a great little number. What do you use for recording?

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

The shitty EQing is my bad, not my equipment's. For some reason everything I tried didn't sound right, and this was the only thing remotely close to sounding right... Then again, I did finish this really late at night, so being tired could have had a part in it.
There's no vocals in it so that flash artists have some instrumentals to use in their games or movies, that's also why it's short.
I'll probably start to fix the EQ shortly, but I probably won't finish fixing it until tomorrow.
Thanks for the review, it was really useful!

Oh hey, forgot to mention what I use for recording.
My DI Box is a Tascam US-144
Reaper is my DAW
I used my Jackson RR3 to record the guitars
DSK Bass for the Bass
and EZDrummer DFH for the drums

Granite Overworld is my personal side/solo project where I dump all my random ideas for you all to listen to and then yeah. As always, Granite Overworld is an inclusive collaboration project, and if you're interested in working together, drop me a line.
